CUSTOM-MADE GLASS CHANDELIER USING SUSPENDED LAMINATED GLASS PANELS

Marvel Glass got an opportunity to contribute towards elegant design engineering at the prestigious and plush, Hotel Courtyard by Mariott, Ahmedabad. Marvel executed a detailed project for the hotel wherein the project included designing and execution of a four-sided, 60' tall staircase in a glass enclosure, with linear glass form. The glass panels have been supported on a 60' tall steel column (5"x 5" box section) using custom designed bolt joints. The enclosure houses a steel cyclical structure cladded with Korean sheets, over which water is continuously sprayed. Although the sprayed water splashes on the glass enclosure surface, it has been designed and engineered to prevent any drop of water leakage.

The project also included the design and execution of a custom-made glass chandelier on the ceiling of the parking lobby, which is designed of suspended laminated glass panels lit with led lighting. Each panel is supported by engineered stainless steel brackets from the ceiling. The suspended weight of glass in the structure exceeds 3 tons.
